This unique unit is highly recommended for stripping of polyimide from CE capillaries to make a detection window. A consistent 2mm window is created without weakening the capillary which can happen when using a flame or harsh chemicals. Not recommended to use with CEC columns or some coated capillaries. Tabletop model is hands free and easy to use. Timer prevents prolonged burning and window "blurring". These prepackaged solutions have no charge and can be used to easily measure the EOF of your HPCE method and run. Since there is no positive or negative charge, there is no attraction to either electrode by these commonly used markers. Markers are highly recommended for all routine use to determine your capillary's performance. It is further recommended that a neutral marker be written into your SOP for every run to determine variations. Lot number on the bottle for Standard Operating Procedures and good record keeping.
