Discussion of Chromatogram:
The retention characteristics of Carvone on this UDC-Cholesterol Column in aqueous reverse phase mode is typical of a C18 or C8 column. The retention times change respectively with THF being a stronger solvent than Acetonitrile which is stronger than Methanol (shown).

This column can also be used in either Aqueous-normal phase or Organic-normal phase (shown above). Other phases such as Cyano or Amino are not optimal choices if you want to switch between Aqueous-reverse phase and Organic normal phase. UDC-Cholesterol and other Cogent TYPE-C HPLC Columns are unique as they require relatively minimal re-equilibration effort to switch between Aqueous-normal phase and Reverse phase and back to Organic-normal phase.
