Multi-Mode

  • Put Columns Together with Hand Tighten Pressure
  • Very Reproducible and Reliable
  • Separate with Isocratic Methods instead of with Gradients
  • Easy to use and Export Methods
Putting two HPLC columns in series to achieve your separation goals is not new. Being able to put them in series without degrading the separation is very new. Also, using a mixed bed HPLC column can be a mixed blessing; reproducibility can be real problem from column to column. Using the MicroSolv Super-Link System™ column coupler you can put two columns together with hand tightened pressure and be certain that there is no extra-column volume added and no dead volume added.

If you use the Cogent Mini-Scout Kits, you can rapidly determine the best selectivities for compounds in your test mixture. Using our recommended strategy, you can run 10 minute gradients on each of the five columns (or more) in little time. From this data you can then determine which columns in Multi-Mode would be best for test mixture. Couple them together with the Super-Link System™ column coupler (provided free of charge in the Mini-Scout Kits or you can purchase it click here for more information), for a highly reproducible Multi-Mode HPLC Column.

On the following pages you will find a sample of the Multi-Mode Strategy.
