HPLC Application Sheet
Biological Fluids: Choline & Acetylcholine
Method Conditions
Discussion The "Aqueous Normal Phase" experimental condiions shown above allow for effective separation of small polar compounds on a moderately hydrophobic stationary phase. The short and fast Qx2 format of these columns adds advantages of significantly reduced analysis time when compared with a standard column (see MicroSolv Application Note B05-1). Mass detection provides for analysis at biologically and environmentally relevant concentration levels. Note: the model compounds used in the study are very difficult to retain on traditional hydrophobic columns.
